The Car (Brief history)

Since the project began by looking for The Engine, you might have guessed that we already have The Car covered. She’s currently tucked away in a storage, but here’s couple old pictures and some general information.

She’s a 1974 Chevrolet El Camino, and rolled out of the factory with 350 engine. She was converted into hearse (yes, you read that right!) sometime late 70’s or early 80’s.

After the ”active duty” ended, She continued her life as hobby car or ”lauluauto” as we say in Finland. At this point, back seat from Ford Sierra was fitted into the back of the car, and She is (probably) the only 5 seater El Camino in Finland!

She has sturdy frame and lock-up differential, so She is the perfect candidate for cheap-ass drag racing vehicle! She already made her Internet debut in one of the very old Youtube videos:
